Violin-makers

Trained at the Newark International School of Violin Making, Frederic has been making violins, violas and cellos entirely by hand for nearly 40 years. He uses personal models often inspired by Guarnerius Del Gesù, as well as varnishes of his own composition. Renowned for their realistic patinas and rich timbre, his instruments are powerful and easy to play.

Octave discovered the world of violin making as a self-learner buying and selling old instruments. Fond of expertise in instruments and bows, he joined the workshop in 2017. His first instruments, based on Guarneri works, left the workshop in 2019. Today he perpetuates the tradition and the standards of the workshop making high quality copies of Del Gesù and Bergonzi.
